Graduate recruitment process
How do I apply and what is the selection process?
- Apply online. View the Positions available page and follow the online application process as requested.
- Talk to us. If you meet the selection criteria you will be contacted by phone. You will be asked a series of competency-based questions to identify your suitability for the role and commitment to the organisation.
- Information session. You will be invited to attend a voluntary information session in Sydney’s CBD. At this session you will be given specific details about the graduate program, the recruitment and selection process and information about career opportunities within RailCorp.
- Job related testing. Subject to meeting the criteria you will then be invited to complete two online ability tests covering verbal and numerical reasoning. An online occupational personality questionnaire may also be conducted.
- Assessment Centre. If you successfully meet the required standard at the job related tests you will be invited to attend an assessment centre for group/individual activities, followed by a work styles questionnaire.
- Meet with us. Upon successful completion of these assessments you will have the opportunity to meet your potential manager and work colleagues at an informal meet and greet session.
- Offer. Pre-employment checks (criminal history, medical assessment - including drug & alcohol and reference checks) will be conducted and offers will be made to successful candidates.
